Strength Training for Runners

This class will focus on strengthening the muscles and stabilizers runners need to stay injury free and to improve speed and strength. Strength training is the perfect supplement to running to maximize performance and to support increases in endurance. This class will also have a heavy focus on teaching proper techniques so participants can learn to do these exercises on their own in addition to class. Building strength can improve body composition by increasing lean body mass, which can also have a positive impact on running performance.

Participants looking to run events this summer will greatly benefit from attending this class. It will help support you along your journey of building endurance. General training plans are available for class participants for the 10k, half marathon and marathon distances.

Sound Strength and Conditioning members can count this as a normal class as part of their membership. Non-members can sign up for a specific membership (the strength class only) for $75 per month plus tax.
